Humility

Updated: Mar 29, 2019

ادْعُوا رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ

Call upon your Lord with humility and in private. Verily, He does not love transgressors.

Surah Al-A’raf 7:55

Humility is a large part of our faith as we should acknowledge Allah as the most forgiving and most merciful. However, many followers forget that and forget that Allah is always there whenever we need Him. Through forgetting Him we are no longer doing things in His name nor are we being humble because we are unknowingly putting ourselves above Him. Yet Allah still forgives and listens to us when we make Dua and helps us when we ask. However, this does not mean we should be very vocal about our worship but rather praise Allah in private. Expressing worship in a loud manner is not humility either because you are then putting yourself above other worshippers. You should keep your faith in Allah a personal experience for He is always there for you.
